One day, an ImageFIRST Dallas associate was working on the line (a conveyor belt that allows workers to check and sort laundry before washing it). She found a phone in the laundry and immediately turned it in. The phone was under the care of Allen Ellis, the Service Director for ImageFIRST Dallas.
Allen used the phone to place a call in order to find out who the phone belonged to. The call was answered by Paula, an ImageFIRST customer who worked at a nearby medical facility. The phone belonged to her, so Allen made arrangements to meet with her and return it.
While Allen was on his way, Paula’s phone rang. The call was from Paula, who was trying to reach her husband who was a patient at a nearby hospital. She accidentally called her own phone instead of calling the medical facility that her husband was checked into.
When Allen arrived at the meeting spot, Paula shared that she was confused because she was trying to call multiple numbers to take care of details for her husband’s heart surgery that would take place on the following day. She was clearly overwhelmed, so Allen wanted to help.
Allen told Paula that he would pray for her husband. Paula was very grateful and gave him a hug to thank him for all of his efforts. She was amazed that he had gone out of his way to get her phone back to her and go the extra mile to show that ImageFIRST cares.
