In a recent Infection Control Today special report, editor in chief, Kelly M. Pyrek, revealed the results of a survey, where they asked several hospital leaders in the C-suite, as well as infection preventionists (IPs), to answer questions related to environmental hygiene and preventing healthcare-associated infection. In fact, Infection Control Today asked both the hospital leaders in the C-suite and IPs the same set of questions. When the results of the surveys finally came in, the magazine was able to determine that both parties viewed issues related to hygiene and healthcare-associated infection in almost the same exact way.
The results of one particular question in the survey that stood out to us here at ImageFIRST New Jersey, was one in which both parties were asked to indicate whether or not they believed that their facility’s environmental services department is “equipped” enough to be effective at preventing healthcare-associated infections. Most of hospital leaders in the C-suite and the IPs that were asked this question responded with a stark “No.”
Why should ImageFIRST New Jersey clients/potential clients even care about the results of this survey?
Well, first and foremost, it is important to us that you get a glimpse at how other healthcare professionals are assessing hygiene in their facilities. Second, the reason we took the time to shed light on the question we mentioned above is because we help outpatient healthcare facilities with infection prevention.
ImageFIRST New Jersey doesn’t just provide linen and laundry services; our products are up to 99.999% free of pathogens with our Triple BioShield Protection® process!
There is no doubt about it—we are much more than your typical laundry service provider. Because we specialize in only providing linen and laundry services to healthcare facilities, we certainly do our part to prevent the spread of disease. And, this is done through our Triple BioShield Protection® process that includes killing—believe it or not—up to 99.999% of pathogens, with a wash formula that kills on contact, a protective coating softener that helps prevent the spread of bacteria, and finally, putting the products in plastic for delivery.
In all, if you were to take this same Infection Control Today survey in the future, we would like you to answer “Yes” to being equipped enough. And, this would likely be because you have ImageFIRST New Jersey’s Triple BioShield Protection® process helping assure that healthcare-associated infections are being prevented!
